Diversity and equality in the workplace are vital as it focus on treating each member of the staff with respect regardless of their age, gender, color, cultural background, professional experience, talents, worldview, sexual orientation, and other characteristics. Recruiting people from all kinds of backgrounds create many advantages to the organization since people from different values and ideas work together for better results. Organizations face challenges as a result of variations among personnel, but if these differences are successfully managed, organizations may make greater use of them (Minghua 2022).

Having a diversified workforce will assist to understand customer needs.

Many organizations offer their products and services to a global scale. Therefore, it is necessary to have ideas from different people from different cultural backgrounds. Having a diversified workforce will assist to tailor and design the products or service to the end user based on their needs.

A diverse workplace eliminates language barriers.

To cater to the global market, it is necessary to have staff with different language skills. organization can expand the supply to the new markets by recruiting people who have advanced levels of foreign language skills.

Equality and diversity will increase employee satisfaction.

Organization can attract more qualified personnel if organization can prove that gender equality is there at the workplace for both men and women. The greater skilled workers, the higher for organization to be chances of success.

Organization can build competitive advantage by managing people effectively with Equality and diversity policies and practices (Armstrong et al 2010). HR professionals can implement necessary policies and practices to increase diversity and equality at workplace to gain better results such as,

·         Age and gender are not a restrictive factor if an employee has relevant knowledge and skill.

·         Workers should pay equally if they are doing equal job.

·         Physical disability should not be a restrictive factor.

·         Identifying and preventing biases in the workplace.

·         Planning regular meetings and hangouts to bring staff together.

·         Arranging necessary training and development programs.

 Equality and diversity increase the sense of personal control, encourages increased attention and job satisfaction, and produces favorable managerial and organizational outcomes (Jasrin et al, 2020).
